On the June 19th 2001 American hip-hop group D12 released their debut album Devil's Night. The album's biggest single was "Purple Pills" which peaked at #19 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Devil's Night went on to peak at #1 on the US Billboard 200 and has been certified 2x Platinum in the United States selling 2 000 000 copies, 3x Platinum in Canada selling 300 000 copies, Platinum in Australia, Denmark, Japan, New Zealand and the U.K. and Gold in France and Germany. The album was executive produced by Eminem.

The name for the six member band D12 comes from them all having an alias; Proof as Derty Harry, Eminem as Slim Shady, Bizarre as Peter S. Bizarre, Mr. Denaune Porter as Kon Artis, Swift as Swifty McVay & Kuniva as Rondell Beene.
