Quick example, in the new Mobb Deep album, the songs produced by Havoc are just credited to MD. Meanwhile the ones produced by The Alchemist have him featured as an artist too. Why is that? Is it purely a question of negotiating power in where the bigger producer can request being credited as artist? Or is it something more nuanced, in where the producer has had a hand on the writing of the song and melodies instead of just sending a beat?
