The Compton's Most Wanted rapper released his first solo album on July 19th, 1994, via Epic Street. Despite carrying the tag "featuring Compton's Most Wanted" on the album cover, We Come Strapped is considered to be MC Eiht's debut solo album.
The album peaked at number 5 on the Billboard 200 and at number 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart in the United States.
Eiht's ongoing feud with DJ Quik sees a continuation in the diss track Def Wish III.
