Trap Rap Beats

Why is Pharoahe Monch so underrated

IMO, Monch is the goat, but i almost never see anyone talk about him unless it’s about Simon says. His catalogue is flawless (spare his most recent work but it would probably resonate with someone who likes rock more than me), his storytelling is impeccable (he did the whole rapping from the perspective of a bullet thing before my second greatest oat Nas did that and made a 3 part series outta it that spanned 20 years), his rhyme schemes are so diverse, he’s always pulling new unorthodox flows out his ass and making them sound brilliant, he’s innovative (started in 91 and sounded like a rapper in the 2000s), he’s very versatile (the songs “Rape”, Queens and Simon says are all on the same album), his longevity is insane, he invented a new style of rap cause he had asthma, he’s a good person, his ear for beats is nuts, his cadence is too good, and he’s mastered a lot of the aspects of the English language, music and rap. Yet he’s still so underrated. Makes no sense.
