Trap Rap Beats

Is the 90s rap flow boring now?

HipHop has evolved in a lot of ways both negative and positive. Something I miss hearing is that old school NY 90s flow. Is it boring now? I’ve been making music for 6 years now since I was 18 years old— I’m afraid of releasing because I don’t want to be seen as a gimmick for having that kind of sound. I just happen to love artists like Nas, GZA, Souls of Mischief, Foxy Brown, and of course B.I.G. It feels like nowadays artists like Lil Baby, Migos, Lil Yatchy, Polo G, and etc get more traction and attention compared to someone like Joey Bada$$.. what are your guys thoughts? Is there no room for a classic NY 90s flow nowadays?
